Whether it’s a lighthearted comedy show or an introspective documentary, entertainment allows us to escape the mundane, if only briefly, and experience a range of emotions in a safe environment. It can be emotionally cathartic and mentally stimulating, a form of self-therapy that helps to relieve stress. It can also be educational, challenging us to think critically through puzzles or strategy video games.
